Weekly Update February 18, 2013


Hello everyone!
Please take a few minutes out of your time to update your schedules with some important dates!
OUR NEXT GENERAL MEETING WILL BE HELD ON MARCH 13th! Don't forget to turn in money TODAY if you plan on going to Asheville!
Fashion Show:
· March 22nd, 2013 in Storrs
· We need photographers, so if any of you are interested or you know someone who would be willing to take tons of pictures let us know!

o Need volunteer for: hair, make-up, decorations, bakers needed, and more!

Black and White Affair:
· April 6, 2013 @ 7:30pm-11:30pm
· The Harris Alumni Center
· All proceeds will go toward Relay for Life
· Email David Jordan at djorda33@uncc.edu if you are interested in joining the Social Events Committee to plan the upcoming Black and White Affair or to simply plan any events you want UHPto be a part of.
· Next committee meeting will be this upcoming Friday, February 22nd from 1:45-3pm in Student Union room 267.
Relay for Life:
· Registering and doing a community service event related to Relay does count as community service!

· There is a 10 dollar donation to sign-up.
· We have raised almost $1800 so far! Keep up the great work!
· UHP Night at Boston Market
o Thursday, February 21st from 4-9:30pm
o 15% of the proceeds will come back to our Relay team!
· Krispy Kreme Doughnuts:
o March 11th-14th
o We will be selling doughnuts on campus, $1 each, $5/dozen
Volunteer Opportunities:
· For those of you who volunteered to help with theCall Out, please mark your calendars for the days you committed to! They are relying on us!
· Also, the BHP Service Event will be held on March 16th. The events will have their separate times but totaled the day lasts from 8am-3pm. Events include: Humane Society, Habitat Restore, campus cleanup, park cleanup, Hospitality House and Soup Kitchen. You will be able to sign-up under Projects on Moodle. Sarah Yoder and Jessica Connors will be coming to our next meeting on March 13th to talk about this event.
