Found below is our weekly
update for all that is going on in UHP. Please read through the information and
make note of any dates and special events.
Welcome Back
Picnic
Our FIRST MEETING of the
semester will be held at the Welcome Back Picnic this Wednesday, August 28th
from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. It is important that you attend this meeting if you do not have
class. The picnic will be held in the Lucas Room of Cone. (When you walk in Cone from
the library entrance, this is located past the UHP office, around the corner to
the right)
Please RSVP to let us know
how much food we need to bring to the event.
Remember: Members must attend 2 out of 3 meetings in the semester to
remain in good standing with UHP.
Discussion
Night
Wine to Water is our chosen
book for this year, as a UHP family, to read. We encourage you all to continue
or begin reading the captivating story of a North Carolina
native that ventures to Africa , bringing
clean water to the needy. We hope to see you all at the discussion that will be
held on September
16th from 5pm to 8pm in Cone 210.
Remember: Members are required to attend one enrichment event during
the semester to remain in good standing with UHP.
Food Truck
Friday
Would you like to spend some
time with your fellow Honors Niners while eating yummy food from various food
trucks?! If so, please e-mail Heather Roberson at hrobers4@uncc.edu. A group of students will
be headed downtown for the fun on Friday, September 6th at 5:00pm
