UHP Present Pals
Need
a quick community service event that will benefit someone in need? Bring a
packed holiday box to the Honors office by November
21st.
Here are some guidelines for packing your box!
Choose your gender, male or female.
Choose the age range:
2-4yrs
5-9yrs
10-14yrs
teenager or adult
Ideas for things to pack in your boxes:
For children: toys, school supplies, hygene
items,accessory type clothes.
For adults: hats,gloves,toiletries,socks,
sanitizers, notepads or pens.
Feel free to also include an encouraging note
it you want!
If you want to help wrap the boxes The Wrapping Party for this event will take place on Thursday, November 21st at 5pm in the Honors Office
When you arrive at the wrapping party, you will
need your shoebox/plastic box filled with the items you wish to give. We will
be providing the wrapping paper,scissors, and tape. There will also be some
light refreshments provided!
Come
out to the Winter Solstice for an end
of the semester celebration with food, fun, and games. The event is always a
blast! The Solstice will be held on Wednesday
December 4th from 5pm to 8pm

The
T shirt Deadline has been extended.
Please
sign up if you want to purchase a UHP
T Shirt and bring money to the Honors Office by
this Friday at 5:00pm. The shirts are $10
and part of the price is going to Relay For Life! We would love for
everyone to have a shirt as we will be having big events in the spring and
it would be great for everyone to be able to dress with UHP spirit.
The
shirt design is attached. The picture can be deceiving but the shirt will be a light tan with bright colors.
Novant Health Volunteer Opportunity
The
Novant Health Thanksgiving Day parade, which will take place on November 28th.
Any volunteers who are available to help on Thanksgiving Day
should be able to physically walk the one mile parade route and be comfortable
standing for upwards of six hours without sitting. Please note that the parade
will take place rain or shine, freezing cold temperatures or bright sunny
skies.
