Weekly Update November 11, 2013

Happy Monday Everyone!

Please take some time to read the following updates! We want to make sure you are well informed about what's in store for the remainder of the semester!

1st-Thank you to all who volunteered at Second Harvest this past Friday and Saturday! We had a wonderful turn out, and appreciate your willingness to serve :)

Important Updates:

UHP T-Shirts!

• T-shirt money ($10 dollars) is due in the Honors office by Friday before 5pm!

 

49ners Dance Mine!

 

• November 15th-16th in the Student Union Multipurpose Room (3rd Floor).
• All proceeds will benefit the Levine's Children Hospital.
• If you haven't already done so, please register with the UHP team as either a dancer or supporter through the following link: http://www.helpmakemiracles.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donordrive.team&teamID=18975.

Winter Solstice-let's celebrate the end of the semester with some fun games, yummy food, music, and holiday cheers!

• December 4th from 5-8pm in the Lucas Room in Cone.

• Bring an inexpensive gift ($5-$10 dollars) if interested in participating in the Dirty Santa game!
• Multicultural theme-bring a side dish, drink, desert, or decoration that represents how your culture, household, or hometown celebrates holidays (optional).
• Keep an eye out for the survey share!

 

UHP Present Pals!

 

• This is your last chance of the semester to accumulate some community service hours. Please join our efforts to help make the holiday season special for those in need!
• Wrapping Party: 5pm on November 21st. Keep an eye out for an email from Ashley indicating where to meet and more! She will provide a detailed email regarding where boxes will be delivered, what materials you will need and examples of items to include in your box!
• Wrapping paper, tape, and other wrapping necessities will be provided.

 

Avett Brothers Concert!

 

• Student Union 263 from 7:30-10:30 on Thursday, November 24th!
• Hosted by Austin Jenkins, our President-Elect!
• FREE-attendance, desserts, Cheerwine, hors d'oeuvres, and much more!

A Couple More Important Notes!

 

• Kyle needs your help! Send him a brief blurb about your Fall 2013 UHP experiences! For example, what was your favorite volunteer/social/enrichment event and why, what do you love about UHP, and much more! Oh...and for those of you who attended the Black Mountain Retreat tell us about it! The newsletter will be sent out closer to the end of the semester!
